Recommended Textbooks:
- “A Smarter Way to Learn JavaScript: The new approach that uses
technology to cut your effort in half” by Mark Myers (in the LC bookstore)
- “HTML and CSS for Beginners with HTML5 ” by Mark Lassoff
(not in the LC bookstore but on Amazon, etc.)
For HTML/CSS part of the course, we will be using the
free tutorials at w3schools.
Course Goals
This course is designed to introduce:
- the field of computer science
- HTML and the Internet
- problem solving via programs (in JavaScript).
Grades
There will be 14 labs, one midterm and one final. The evaluation scheme is roughly as follows
